Calibration and Certification
JGI performs overall flatness accuracy measurement on surface plates using a laser measurement system. Repeat reading is also inspected on each plate we certify. Granite surface plates are inspected and certified in accordance with the current revision of Federal Specification GGG-P-463. This procedure is included in our ISO 17025 scope of accreditation.
Resurfacing (Re-lapping)
JGI is able to rework what it inspects and can re-lap plates to bring them into the specified tolerance. In most cases this can be done at a fraction of the cost of a new surface plate, which means more value to our customers.
We will quote new or reconditioned plates upon request.
